NdFeB magnet is a kind of alloy made from Neodymium, Iron, Boron and some other microelement. As is the most powerful rare earth magnets available today, it possesses high energy and wonderful coercive force. With the highest magnetic performance (8MGOe-55MGOe) and coercive force so far in the world, NdFeB magnets are less brittle than SmCo magnet, Neodymium Iron Boron has good resistance to external demagnetization fields because of its high Intrinsic Coercive Force (Hci) . This resistance makes Neodymium magnets an excellent choice for electromechanical applications and have been extensively applied to VCM, Machinery equipment, Linear Motors, Acoustic systems, MRI, Auto industry and so on. Neodymium magnets offer the best value when comparing performance, size and cost. They are moderate in price, very strong magnetically, and typically allow for dimensional reductions. They have poor resistance to corrosion and should have a coating or plating applied. Consideration should be given to the grade of alloy when exposing Neodymium magnets to temperatures above ambient room.
