An efficient digestive system requires a balance of both favourable & potentially harmful bacteria.
Some factors such as antibiotics, stress, excess alcohol, dietary changes & the aging process may adversely affect this balance.

Sporogenes is a strain of Lactobacillus which is resistant to stomach acid. Once in the intestine it generally starts to grow within 2 hours, doubling in number every 30 minutes until the optimum level is reached.
Research has shown that pre-biotics such as inulin [a dietary fibre derived from chicory root] serve as substrates for the growth & proliferation of these beneficial bacteria and as a consequence improve the microbial balance.

What are Lactobacillus Sporogenes?
This is a special strain of lactobacillus which is relatively unknown in the west, and has been available for over 30 years in and other Asian countries.
L. Sporogenes are naturally encapsulated with all the advantages of lactobacillus with more :
1. Being sporolated they are highly resistant to heat, gastric acids and bile.
2. They produce, during fermentation, only the favoured L[+] form of lactic acid. L.
Acidophilus produces D[-] lactic acid which has been found to induce metabolic acidosis.
3. They are capable of easily proliferating in vivo. They have the potential to start
germinating and form vegetative cells in the small intestine within two hours of ingestion and then double in number every 30 minutes.
4. They are highly stable at room temperature, giving a two year shelf life to products without the need to refrigerate.
5. Being semi resident they are slowly excreted from the body 7 days after discontinuing use. They are therefore effective probiotics that do not induce any pathological or pharmaceutical side effects.
